Hi,
When your buttons are injected onto a site many many times, it can drastically increase loading times for the site. One of the ways to get around this, whilst keeping the buttons, is to make them load after all the main content has loaded. There is a load of information on how to do this here:

Would it be possible to add this as an option, or function to diggdigg?

Thanks for your suggestion. You can try checked on lazy load function, it will load button after all content is loaded.

How can you do that when initiating from manual placement? Is there an option you can include in the dd_twitter_generate() function call?

(sorry, I should have said we were using the manual placement method in our theme!)
