I just discovered that all posts for which I haven't entered an excerpt or explicit meta description, the description is taking up the CSS properties of the Floating Display.
it's throwing up some nasty webmaster duplicate meta-description errors...not to mention that it's interrupting the action that Wordpress normally takes to use the initial paragraph as the excerpt/meta description.
