My sight's post was taking up to one or two minutes to load. I contacted host support and they suggest that I disable all plugins then add one by one. I did this and Digg Digg turned out to be the culprit. When disabled my site's speed is fine, but once I enable it it destroys my website's speed performance.
I like Digg Digg, but I cannot use it when it prevents upload of my posts.

I don't agreed with your statement. Did you try lazy load? DiggDigg lazy load feature will load the buttons after all of your content is loaded.
And, please choose only buttons that are work for your topic, not all buttons. DiggDigg is tested with few heavy traffic website, and working fine, you just need to enable the lazy load.

Like Sheri I love Digg Digg and will keep it deactivated on my plugins. Unfortunately, whenever it is activated it changes the upload of my posts from almost instantaneous to over a minute. I tried your suggestions, but once this plugin is activated it cripples the load speed.
Hope a future update can solve this for my site, and I will activate from time to time and check it out, but for now I cannot afford to have it active.
