Tweeted the post twice, but no count on the web page.
Manual:
WP and plugin latest version. Any ideas?

                I am having the same problem. Tweeted this blog entry and waited an hour. Still doesn't update Twitter count.

                I think I found the answer. The count wasn't updating because my Twitter settings were set to protect my Tweets. According to the Twitter developer site:
                "To improve performance we cache the count before displaying it. The cache is updated frequently but on some occasions it may look like your count is not increasing while the cache is updated. In addition, the count only includes public Tweets meaning a Tweet from a protected account will not cause an increase."
                
                I unprotected my tweets and tried it and the count eventually went up after the cache was updated.

                my twitter count on my wordpress webpage for twitter is not going up

                How are you supposed to unprotect your tweets within wordpress? I dont think you can
                Anyone know how to fix this or what the twitter count bug is?
