Im having difficulty getting our Tweet buttons on DiggDigg to use the Bit.ly shortener with the URL Shortener Wordpress Plugin - http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/url-shortener/
In order for this Plugin to append a Bit.ly short URL to your tweet buttons you need to use: data-url=""
Im looking inside dd-class.php and i notice this for Twitter - data-url=\"VOTE_URL\"
Is there any way i can get it to use the URL Shortener Plugin with Bit.ly support? I don't like how tweets display the full URL when people retweet our posts, i would prefer it to use short urls with our Bit.ly account. I notice that Tweetmeme has an option to use bit.ly but this option isnt available for the "Twitter" button.
Any help would be greatly appreciated as i don't want to use Tweetmeme.
